Hotel Amalga, St. Augustine, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Amalga in St. Augustine! The rooftop views were absolutely beautiful — the perfect place to relax and take in the city. Breakfast each morning was excellent, and enjoying it with those views made it even better. The location could not have been more perfect. We were able to easily walk to our wedding destination at The White Room, which made the entire weekend stress-free and special. We also loved being able to explore the historic downtown area on foot, including Aviles Street (the oldest street in the USA) and the beautiful Flagler College campus. Location was great for St. Augustine. Probably could walk to downtown, but we didn't. The rooms were very nice and very new and clean. Service was good at check-in and in the small restaurant where we had breakfast on the 5th floor. The hotel is upside down with parking at ground level under the building and room floors under the main 5th floor with key-card access to the Room floors so security is very good. The only strange thing is the car valet service, especially when you arrive and pay $29 for.

I've stayed at several hotels in St. Augustine, and this is by far the best experience I've had. Cleanliness: Spotless! The hotel is immaculately clean and beautifully maintained throughout. Location: Perfect! Close to all the major attractions and easy to walk everywhere. Views: Absolutely phenomenal. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. Service: Outstanding from check-in to check-out. Every staff member was friendly and professional. I will stay here every time I visit St. Augustine. Highly recommend without hesitation!

Came here on a last minute overnights to attend Nights of Lights. Location was excellent for that. Just far enough away that you didn’t have to deal with crazy crowds and traffic, but close enough to be able to walk to downtown (about 20 minutes). The hotel staff were excellent. Stacy at valet, and Sara and Courtney at the bar were all SO inviting, friendly, conversational, and helpful. We were only there one night and they made an impression. The hotel itself is clean and the room was great, no issues.

Evelyn was a delight and very helpful for my wife and I during our stay, as was Abel at the valet stand. Everyone was polite and helpful. The location was perfect. The room was clean and the view was phenomenal. Only downside was that the pool wasn’t heated and the toilet paper was single play. Other than that, a perfect stay!
