Homewood Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City-Midvale/Sandy

We always enjoy staying here every year for cheer comp. This year I was actually disappointed with this hotel. On the app I picked the room I wanted and checked in. We goto the hotel at 5pm and the app told me to goto the front desk. Come to find out our room was not cleaned and we had to have a different room. Fine whatever. The people above us were break dancing I swear at 12 am and kids running up and down the halls. But the icing on the cake was the maid walking into peoples rooms at 8:30am after only knocking once. I watched as the maid walked into the room across from us only to be yelled at by the people still in there and the door slammed in her face then she came to our room I answered it pretty fast just to have her ask are you checking out today? I feel like they should know tha

Positive: Check in staff was amazing, helpful and happy to serve. Negative: The breakfast was empty every night we stayed, tried at 7:15, 8 and 7:30. Shampoo/soaps empty upon arrival. Room was not detail cleaned before arrival.

We were looking for a place near Salt Lake, but not downtown, where we could stay with our dog and this was a good fit.||Our room was a bit dated and would benefit by a remodel, as would the hotel generally. ||There were two double beds in one room and then a sofa bed and kitchen area with a door separating (microwave, stove and fridge all relatively new). While not a fancy suite hotel, for a family road trip with a pet, this was certainly adequate.||The hotel is encircled by a parking lot and plenty of grass, a setup that is very convenient for dog walking. Bags and disposal stations are thoughtfully located on two sides of the property. The hotel provided a "pet in room" sign for us to hang on the door.||The gym was more than adequate with free weights, treadmills and a bike. There

No TV for 4 days. No maid cleaned the room for 4 days even though I asked. I had to grab a maid in the hallway and beg her to do it. No shampoo in the bathroom, but 2 conditioners. A computer in there business center didn't work. The breakfast was about the worst of all the Hilton brands we've stayed in. The only positives worth mentioning are good location for our skiing, and the Wednesday happy hour was a nice surprise. Won't stay here again.

Old smelly carpet, the lobby was a storage area. No joke, pallets and boxes everywhere. My room was dirty. I felt like I was getting sick the whole time I was there. The AC didn’t work and I sweated all nice like I was in a sauna. The windows were broken and wouldn’t stay open. The ladies at the counter were great, however. This was the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I visit all over the world.
