Econo Lodge Midvale

I’ve been travelling since the age of 5. I’m 49 years old now and I’ve travelled to over 50 countries and stayed in some pretty terrible places but this one here is one of the worst. Middle of winter and no heaters working in the whole place! Yeah, I had to sleep in my ski thermals. Couldn’t fully close the window either. The first room that was given to me was absolutely disgusting. Rubbish on the floor, and both single beds were not even made. No sheets at all. It look like a crime scene. The next bedroom I was provided only had sheets on the bed. No blankets. I requested a blanket and supposedly there were none left in the entire hotel! This place wasn’t even worth the $55 I paid. The Wi-Fi didn’t work either and I couldn’t pay using Apple Pay for my stay. Would not stay here again ev

No heat just a noisy fan I really feel for the employees who were super nice but are being set up for failure. Upon check in I was notified there was not only any heat but also no HOT WATER! Room looked clean but damage all over and definitely had not been cleaned since whoever stayed there also with having no hot water I doubt the bedding was clean. Floor had not been swept let alone mopped and I had to pull a plastic fork from the bathroom sink.My door obviously had been bashed in at least once. Staff is grade A for sure and deserve better than what they have to work with, just a little TLC and this could be an ok place but with the lack of resources they are being hung out to dry and fail.

My window locks were broken, you could tell that someone had pried the window open from outside. The electronic lock and deadbolt on my door worked but it had no extra lock protection. I found two broken needles in the parking lot and could smell other drugs being used outside of peoples doors. I recommend you stay somewhere else.

Positive: Close to Restaurants etc Negative: It's a real dump,Ice machines didn't work.And you get one towel.It used to be Motel 6 and they using the same sheets and blankets.Probably 20 years old.I felt totally let down

Extremely disappointing experience. When I arrived to check in, the front desk told me the entire hotel had no hot water and no heating. In freezing Salt Lake City weather, the room was simply not habitable. They told me I could cancel and clearly promised I would not be charged, saying “we won’t charge you.” Based on that, I left and never checked in. Two days later, I found they still charged me $180 anyway. Charging a guest who never stayed, after confirming a full refund, is completely unacceptable. Very unprofessional service. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
