Home2 Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh / McCandless, PA

The room was very nice and clean, however it did have a strong musty-ish odor. The bed was so uncomfortable that we ended up not spending the night (2 hr drive home so we just bit the bullet and decided to leave). It felt like sleeping in a hammock and the sheets were very scratchy. If it weren’t for the awful bed I would give this place an enthusiastic 5 stars.

Positive: Convenient location and the free breakfast. Negative: The food was usually cold at the breakfast. The eggs were cold the bacon wasn't cooked and could use cleaned up around the food.

I stayed from 11/28/2025 to 11/30/2025 for my wedding. Nina was amazing, as was all of the staff. They made the wedding room blocks and shuttle service so easy and helped make my entire wedding weekend a breeze. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and attentive I can’t say enough about them. They truly helped make the weekend so memorable.

the team at the McCandless location was super accommodating. in the middle of the night during freezing temps, we had to leave our house because of the furnace going out. they made sure to take care of us and our animals and even provided a discount due to our circumstances. they were also patient with us while we waited for answers the next morning on whether we would need to stay again or not, and allowed us to do a late check out. during a stressful time, they provided comfort. the room was also clean and cozy. i highly recommend this location!!

We were very disappointed in this Home2 Suites. We always stay in Home2 Suites because we need the space and full refrigerator for our special needs child. Our room smelled like dog and overuse of carpet deodorizer...not good for a family with allergies. There needs to be pet free rooms...people have allergies/asthma. The shower handle was broken. The bathroom sliding door was broken. The room temperature was very inconsistent with the ac/heater unit. Both days we were there, we had to smell someone in a unit under us smoking weed!..That is completely unacceptable. Breakfast was okay, but we've had better at other locations. We've definitely stayed in more updated and cleaner Home2 Suites.
