Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton North - Vandalia by IHG

First, let me start with the front desk. BRITTANI was simply AMAZING. She was so very helpful getting my situation taken care of even though it was not her nor the hotels fault. I dealt with her on multiple occasions during my stay and every time I was greeted with a smile and a great conversation. Such an amazing personality and wonderful smile. Kudos to her for the job she has done. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and soft. Breakfast was stocked really well and the young lady, I didn't get her name, who was taking care of the breakfast area did a wonderful job making sure things stayed stocked. I would definitely recommend this hotel for future stays if you are in the area and needing a room.

Positive: Hotel employee was very memorable and impressionable. She worked the second shifts of my stays . She was very nice and tried to be as accommodating as possible. A very sweet and respectful person. Negative: Yes, upon arrival my room wasn?t really cleaned, the breakfast was very poor, the food wasn?t fresh at all through my whole trip, the pool area was freezing cold .

This hotel room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. That being said, there are some staffing issues that need to be addressed. First of all, I asked for a 6 am wake up call about 8:30 pm and never received one. I luckily received a phone call from a friend at 7am which woke me up. Otherwise, I never would have made my appointment. With the missed call, I had to rush to be on time. If I had missed my appointment, there would have been a real issue, as I traveled 250 miles to get here. The desk clerk blamed "the 2nd shift". Secondly, one staff member thought it proper to park her personal vehicle (small white car) over the only smooth path from the parking lot to the hotel entrance. We either had to walk around the median or drag our bags over the rocks in the median.

Hotel is clean, and nice, but the WiFi is a little bad. The staff are friendly. Linda was a very big help and we appreciated her so much. She’s super nice and will make sure you have an enjoyable stay.

Tonight when I arrived to check in, Jessica was so welcoming and warm! She treated me like I was a friend of hers! It was quite amazing! Her kindness and generosity did not go unnoticed and it was super appreciated! She was giving of not only time and care but also upgraded my family’s room, just because! The customer service industry needs more people like Jessica! Thank you again! We loved our room!
