Holiday Inn & Suites Ocean City by IHG

We have been coming to this hotel for the past 15 years. When we arrived on Friday, February 20th, the hotel was closed for rennovations. It's fine that the hotel was closed, but we were not informed of it prior to arriving. When we called to ask what happened to our room, we were sent to the hotel next door. The room was a worse than the type of room that we had originally booked (a corner suite with a jacuzzi) and was a lot cheaper, but we were not compensated for the difference in costs. Instead, when we tried to call back again, we were brushed off and told to talk to our third party, since it wasn't "their problem". We still needed them to authorize the third party to get our money back, but they kept pushing us off. This all happened 10PM at night after we had driven 4 hours t

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Ocean City during the off-season, and unfortunately, the hotel fell well short of typical 3-star expectations. Check-in service felt standard at best, with staff not particularly proactive or enthusiastic about enhancing the guest experience—something I'd expect more from the Holiday Inn brand. Parking was an unexpected charge of $10/night, added without any prior mention or opt-in during booking or arrival. Also most other hotels in the area don't charge for parking on the off season. The room itself had some appealing updates, including modern furnishings and a fantastic ocean view, which was a highlight. However, the bathroom fixtures (tile, shower and tub) looked dated and showed significant wear. Cleanliness was a major letdown: I easily wiped visible dirt

We have been coming here for years, and we especially love the HI at Christmastime when the lobby and restaurant are decorated so beautifully for the holiday! ||While we were here this visit, we had new pans in the kitchen, thick new pillows, and a brand new hair dryer. Everything was spotless and well appointed in our rooms (we had two rooms to accommodate our family). It was nice and relaxing to be able to cook and have meals in our room since there is a full kitchen with all we needed to make breakfast and lunch. ||We visited the restaurant/bar several times and had very good service (hi, Gabe!) and our son enjoyed the indoor pool. Positive: Separate living room and bedroom, each with a tv. Full kitchen. Great location. Negative: The sofa was uncomfortable. The toilet paper was very awkward to reach. There were tiny ants in the kitchen. There was a $10.00/day charge for parking even in the middle of October while there were multiple free street spaces available.

We had a great experience at this hotel. It is beautiful and in a good location. The lobby is clean and welcoming. Staff is friendly. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. We loved our ocean front balcony. The kitchen is well-equipped with a toaster, blender, plenty of pots and pans, but no baking pans; you need to bring them. The bathroom has a large tub with jets and a rain shower head. Beds were firm but comfortable. Dove brand toiletries are provided. The water in the indoor pool could have been warmer, but we still enjoyed it. We had appetizers at the restaurant, and everything was good, but especially the coconut shrimp. We asked for a late check out and were accommodated.|We are looking forward to going back in the summer. There is a Starbucks right across the street
