Holiday Inn & Suites Columbia NE - Ft Jackson Area by IHG

I went to this property to book a room. I had been driving for hours and wanted to rest for about 6. As the agent was searching for availability; My 8 year old daughter said she had to use to the restroom. I asked the agent where the restroom was located at in the lobby and she said she couldn’t go to the restroom because I hadn’t booked my reservation yet and she needs ID first. The agent refused to point me to the restroom so I walked around the corner looking for it while she was searching for availability. She immediately picked up the phone to dial 911 and to her surprise I waited to speak with the officer. The officer could not believe she denied access to the restroom to an 8 year old child during the booking process. I don’t know her name because she covered her name tag with her s

Location is good. Rooms are ok. Only 1 working elevator for 6 floors so the wait is horrendous (especially if you are on the top floor) Don't fall for the sites that say free breakfast and don't get the package or pay for it either. They are charging $12.95 for what would be barely acceptable as a free continental at any self respecting hotel. Barely cooked scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and the nasty cheap sausage patties. Not even the pancakes, waffles, or biscuits and gravy you would get at a basic free breakfast at other hotels. Staff completely unconcerned when brought to their attention. Breakfast attendant sends you to the front desk, front desk says they'll mention it to the kitchen. Absolutely no customer service skills to be found here. I suggest not wasting your money here

Wasn’t a huge fan on this hotel. The layout is very old and needs to be updated. My room also has a distinct smell that wasn’t to my liking. Ended up checking out early cause I wasn’t satisfied with my room. Then the front desk guy goes “well you know you won’t get your money back right” as if I was concerned about that.

i don’t understand why this hotel have horrible reviews. the cleanliness is outstanding. i have 25 environmental allergies. and I was very impressed and satisfied with the cleanliness of this hotel. rooms are very nicely decored. I loved it. don’t let the reviews detour you. try it. and leave your reviews about your stay yourself. because mines was nothing but positive.

Very nice Holiday Inn Express. There is no complimentary breakfast here, but there is a restaurant/bar in the facility. Staff were friendly and helpful. One issue was no broadcast TV channels, I had to stream the football game to my laptop.
