Holiday Inn St Augustine - World Golf by IHG

It is sad that this hotel has never been recently inspected by the Holiday Inn Corporation, otherwise they would remove their name on the building and there would be a Motel 6 sign on the building. The hotel puts up a good show to fake it tho, as looks are very deceiving. The only plus was our room & bed were clean. That's where it ends. The A/C unit did not work properly, The hallway carpet was dusty/filthy in front of our door and NEVER vacuumed during our 4 day stay. Never saw one person cleaning the facility the entire 4 days! Pool area filthy, entire grounds not maintained, weeds all over, trash overflowing in cans by the front lobby entrance all throughout our stay. Honestly one of the most comfortable and helpful hotels I have ever been to. Shout out to Kevin the maintenance man for making our stay fantastic. He truly needs a raise for all the work he does. Great Hotel. Great breakfast and the rooms were clean.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall it was a mixed experience. ✅ What I Liked - Great location: Very close to the highway, which made getting around super convenient. - Safe area: I felt comfortable the entire time. - Nearby conveniences: Plenty of restaurants and shopping options within a short drive. - Fair price: The rate was reasonable — not too expensive, not too cheap — and matched the general value of the stay. ❌ What Needs Improvement - Outdated interior: The room and bathroom both felt old and in need of renovation. - Poor flooring work: The flooring looked cheaply installed, almost like it was sitting on top of the trim instead of being properly fitted. - Noise issues: The biggest problem was the noise from the room directly next to mine. Positive: Location Negative: Breakfast was way too expensive. Forced us to go to the bagel store down the road where the bagels were delicious and reasonable.

The only good thing I can say about this place is that it’s pretty close to everything, a quick 20 minute drive to get downtown and the beds are comfy. Now, for the bad things. - They said the room was “clean” but it wasn’t clean. There were dust bunnies all over and random hair everywhere. - fridge wasn’t really cold. - bathroom has a weird smell to it and was only left half a roll of toilet paper. - paint chipping everywhere. - bathroom towels had hairs stuck on them. - I had spilled some water so I grabbed a little towel to wipe it up and the towel went from white to black in 2 seconds. I could tell that the floors had never been cleaned ever ! - night came and I called the front desk and requested some extra pillows and a blanket. Receptionist said ok we’ll be right up.
