Customer Reviews
We stayed for two nights for a combo of a business conference and snowmobile riding. The room was clean, visually appealing and spacious. It was great to have shelves and hooks to set the snowmobile gear. The trail is easily accessible from the motel parking lot. The pool, hot tub and sauna were awesome! Staff was friendly. Cons: our electronic room keys had to be reset several times, despite keeping them away from our phones. We were on the 4th floor and one of the elevators was not working. Had to go to the front desk at least 4 times for the key issue. Also, they offer a continental style breakfast, but it was expensive. All around, this a nice motel and I would like to stay there again.
Very nice hotel that is close to town, stores, and food options. They always meet my needs and offer a clean room at a reasonable rate. I enjoy utilizing the Sauna, Hot Tub, and Pool area. The hotel bar and grille is an extra bonus with many tasty options although it would be nice if the menu were a little bit more expanded. If you are here on business or for reasons that are important at NMU, ask the hotel at booking for the “university rate” and they should be able to offer you a better price per night. Thank you for always providing me with a great experience and wonderful service.
Positive: Relatively clean common areas, but the room needed more attention. We found a chewed up tennis ball (dog toy?) under the chair in our room. Negative: The hotel doesn't offer free breakfast. They have a decent restaurant, but over-priced breakfast options.
I enjoyed my overall stay at the hotel, was greeted by friendly staff upon my arrival. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the rack cubby for organizing my things and the extra space in the single king room. It was nice to have a workout area that was relatively large with weights, ellipticals, treadmills, and a cable machine. The pool area is also very large with a hot tub and sauna. All were clean and well maintained. The only complaint I have is the lack of complimentary breakfast, breakfast is through the restaurant here. I had to work in the morning from my hotel room so got breakfast to-go. It was expensive for what you got, burnt and tasteless. I just threw most of it out. Now I know. I travel to Marquette often and would go back to this hot
Stayed here for work for a week. The hotel is newly remodeled and has a very friendly, very accommodating staff. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean. It gets 4 stars simply because it’s a holiday inn and not a 5 star hotel. Otherwise I was happy to stay and would do so again.
