Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Angelo by IHG

This location needs to be desperately updated inside and out. Bathroom has water stains, rust and what appears to be mold growing due to no exhaust fan installed. Internet was spotty and tv sometimes worked and didn’t. Environment felt run down, musty/dusty and poorly maintained. Hotel computer was out of service, location of snack/beverage hub was small and felt poorly placed. Daily free breakfast was barely eatable. The refrigerator system kept cold temp items at minimal cold, all breads were stale and muffins were prepackaged and not good. For what was served, one could have gotten a better breakfast at the convenience store. Room keys had to be reissued everyday due to poor quality of machine to set keys. The hotel needs an extreme makeover to hotels in the area. The hallways smell like wet dog and marijuana. The rooms are nasty the carpet you better bring shoes to walk on and there’s someone’s hair behind the bed. The tv turns on but does not work overall I think this has made my decision on staying at Holiday Inn’s in the future. Wish I could switch rooms to a new hotel in the middle of my stay it’s that gross. Oh side note pool is broken piece of paper when you check in says waiting in part for pool so don’t book for your kids to swim.

The rooms were very clean. The beds were so comfortable! I liked the dispensers for the shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The towels were a good size, and they weren't rough and worn! The breakfast had a big variety and tasted good. But mostly the staff was very friendly, caring, and helpful! We would definitely recommend your hotel! Thank you for everything!

I stay here every year for the stock show. When I arrived on Feb. 12th, I was first told that the elevator wasn't working and I was booked on the 3rd floor. The girl at the front desk did offer to help me haul my luggage up 3 flights of stairs but I declined and did it myself. When I entered my room, I immediately smelled a horrible smell, like mildew. I had noticed an extension cord running into the room next to me and heard a fan so I assumed there had been a water leak. I turned the air down hoping maybe circulating the air might help. I went into the bathroom and after spilling some water on the floor, I wiped it up and the tissue I used was black. I went to the front desk and asked the girl if there had been a water leak. Where to start, checked in the day before Thanksgiving and the front desk said did you get a call about the elevator not working? I never got a call. They said I can cancel my reservation without the cancel fee, wonderful but there are no extra rooms due to holiday travel. Get to the to find mold in the shower and spider webs, take pictures and back to the front desk. The answer let’s put you in a room equally as awful. Moved my stuff to the second room provided and no hot water. Being as it was a holiday I was running out of options. They assured me maintenance will take care of the problem. Get back to my room later and still no hot water, the solution we will let you shower in a room down the hall at the other end of the hotel. Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain didn’t waste my time calling t
