Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saint Augustine North by IHG

My wife spent weeks reading reviews on a place to stay while in town for the Daytona 500. Is it in a nice area? Yes, unfortunately it's ran by slum lords. Room was infested with ants, door handle to restroom wouldn't work. We brought this to the attention of management immediately and simply ask to comp one night, only to be met with well the ants didn't do any harm to yourself or your property so tuff luck basically. The sanitation level for the free breakfast is tailgate level at best. The prep chef or custodian smelled horrific and looked like he climbed out of a dumpster prior to setting up breakfast. I have attached videos of the lack luster facility. The manager hid in the back when I tried one last time to speak with him in regards to the issues we had faced during our 3 night stay

We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express St. Augustine North! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Nick at the front desk. He was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. He took the time to recommend local restaurants, which we really appreciated. His hospitality set the tone for a great visit. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a stylish and modern design that still captures the charm of St. Augustine. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything we needed. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. A big thank you to Nick and the rest of the staff for making our visit so enjoyable!

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express St. Augustine North was really great! I myself work at the Holiday Inn Stuttgart (Germany) and was really impressed by the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, and the delicious breakfast buffet. Everyone was very attentive and the buffet was fresh and delicious! (especially the warm cinnamon rolls). I would stay here again anytime :). I booked four rooms at this hotel several weeks before New Year’s Eve and spent close to $1,000, expecting a smooth family stay. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Check-in time is clearly stated as 3:00 p.m., and I personally confirmed this with the front desk by phone before arrival. Despite this, one of our rooms was not ready when we arrived. We were repeatedly told “just 10 more minutes,” yet we ended up waiting until 4:30 p.m. — over an hour and a half late. During this delay, I had to crowd four additional guests into my room, including a woman in a wheelchair and two children, after we had all been traveling for hours and needed rest.
