Holiday Inn Express & Suites Richmond-Brandermill-Hull St.

I did not have an issue checking in. The location was ideal for where I needed to be for the holidays. Parking lot was well lit and generally clean. The room was recently renovated and had a spacious and thoughtful design. The only real issues I had were regarding the shower and cleaning products used in the room. The shower temperature did not get above lukewarm both in the morning and evening showers that I took. I spoke to the front desk about it in the evening and they stated that they didn't have any issues with their hot water but when I took a shower in the morning I had the same issue. I tested the water in the sink and that got scalding hot so I informed the front desk at checkout that it seems their showers were installed with a regulator on temperature that did not allow the s

Recently renovated, very clean. Nice setting in the woods, great for walking. We were upgraded to a suite and it was very comfortable. Continental breakfast included offered hot items as well. We will go back again.

Positive: The room and location was phenomenal. Staff was friendly, and made sure everything was accommodated. Negative: There was a visitor whom stood in the hallway acting irate and banging on another room door for hours!

I stayed here recently and had a mixed experience. Communication: Needs improvement. The in-room phone had no dial tone, and I was not informed at check-in that phones were down, even though the morning clerk later confirmed this was a known issue. Infrastructure: Needs improvement. The AC unit would only stay powered if the adapter was bent a certain way, and the bathroom door would not lock when closed (though it did lock when open). Cleanliness: Poor. The shower curtain had black staining at the bottom on both sides, which appeared to be mildew or mold. Employee Attitude: Excellent. The morning front desk clerk handled the situation professionally and courteously. She submitted maintenance requests, acknowledged the issues, and offered a small discount and 5,000 points for the incon

My daughter and I stayed here for a lacrosse tournament. The hotel location was very close to the fields. The phone in the room did not work, the TV did not work, and the sink had no hot water. I pointed this out to the front desk, and they told me twice they would look into it. Nothing ever happened. I would not recommend staying here whatsoever.
