Hampton Inn Richmond-Southwest-Hull Street

I stayed there for a few days back in March ( I think maybe may ) of 2025 while on vacation from florida to visit family. In all honesty it wasnt bad at all. I mean its no fancy pants 5 star hotel but the room was nice enough the mini fridge had a busted door that you had to mess with a bit to stay on and also prevented it from getting super cold. But we always plan to have a big cooler filled with stuff anyway. The room was clean enough. And the lady at the desk ( i forget her name but I think she said she was a manager ) was nice. And the breakfast was better than I expected. Only bad thing was obnoxious kids sprinting back and forth super late at night but that's going to happen at any hotel so cant blame the hotel for that. I have stayed here a couple times before, loved it. When I checked in 2-12-26, the person at the counter seemed grumpy, like I was interrupting. Voice was "barking" telling me about elevator, breakfast, etc. Did not recognize me as a diamond member. Coffee was cold. Hot water was cold and no Hot Chocolate packets. I likely will not go there again. Not particularly full or busy when I arrived, I was only person in lobby. I don't leave many reviews. No review means everything was good. This is only my 2nd bad Hampton/Hilton review in many years, if something seems exceptional, I was also leave a review, only a couple of those as well. Breakfast was good. Had hot coffee in the AM.

The hotel is conveniently located and has great customer service. The staff are all very friendly, professional, and courteous. The room did smell of chlorine and the bed was a little too firm for my taste. Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast. Overall, the stay was okay. The hotel was quiet. Its also located right off of a main road so it was not a far drive to get to a lot of different restaurants in the area. It suited our needs for the one night we needed while waiting to move.

This was our first time at Latitudes. We were celebrating our 32nd Wedding Anniversary. The service was great, our waitress was awesome, she was very polite and checked on us often. She made a few food suggestions because we asked. We got the catfish bites, crab dip, fish and chips and the crabcake sandwich. Everything was so good. The crab dip and the crabcake sandwich was the best. Mashed potatoes were good as well. Can't wait to return and try the shrimp tacos and the fried shrimp. The plates going by us were loaded with food.

I want to give a shout out to the amazing hospitality provided by the General Manager Ryan. He really is fantastic and makes the whole place feel like 5 star treatment. He was warm and welcoming both on the phone and in person when we checked in. And made us feel at home right away with fresh tea and coffee. We also had requested at booking extra pillows and he had them fluffed right on arrival for us. The room is spacious and clean, the pillows fluffy and the breakfast included! Highly recommend and want to say thank you to Ryan for making our stay so nice. Our dog also loves the bed!
