Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsburgh Airport by IHG

I will preface this with the fact that I never leave reviews, but due to my recent experiences with Holiday Inn over the last couple of years, here is my honest review. The young man at the front desk was very friendly. Like many Holiday Inns these days, it is a renovated version of an old hotel. It was a very long walk around the building to the elevator, the lower floor seems much less renovated. The parking was weird and much further away than I would’ve liked.

Have stayed here multiple times. Stayed 2 nights, no fresh towels, no garbage taken, no fresh sheets. I questioned the front desk lady at checkout( older lady). She made excuse about our DO NOT DISTURB being on the door, which it wasn’t. She acted like she hated her job and was very snooty. I Wont EVER stay here again. The hotel is much dirtier and run down than before.

This place was pretty nice. The front desk staff was weird—no "hi" or "welcome," just looking down and talking to each other like they weren't at work. My husband said the overnight guy was pretty helpful. The laundry guy was so friendly and all smiles, and very welcoming. Maybe he should be at the front desk; he was more welcoming than the front desk staff. Other than that, this place was pretty clean and relaxing.

My room had been renovated, so it was fine, but the elevator, hallway, etc were pretty rough. The soft drink vending machine wasn't working. The breakfast was good, but the cleaning staff had left the mop bucket right next to the coffee station, so that was not cool.

The mattresses were Horrible. They felt like rectangular boxes. The edges of mattresses were very hard, also. Not smooth and rounded. I am used to Higher Quality Mattresses. These did not compare. Bed was Cricky. The Toilet was very Low, for people 5’ and under. The coffee maker did not work. No Free Premium TV Channels. Gym was closed for renovations and no indoor pool. I would not recommend.
