Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lafayette by IHG

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Lafayette during their current renovations, and overall had a great experience. It looks like they’ve started updating from the third (top) floor and are working their way down. We were in a newly renovated room on the third floor, and everything felt fresh, clean, and well cared for.||The room was thoughtfully set up with plenty of places to hang items, a wardrobe for clothes, an iron and ironing board, TV, desk, and even a comfortable settee for sitting. The bed was very comfortable, and the lighting throughout the room was decent. Even with renovations happening, our stay was pleasant, and the updates they’re making are definitely a positive improvement.

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this is not the place. Yes, there are imperfections in areas of this hotel such as scuffs on the walls, paint chips in areas, and stains in some areas. However, the hotel location is off the main 4 lane road so no issues with traffic noise. The check in process online was seamless, and we were greeted in a positive fashion by the front desk clerk. The room with two queen beds were made nicely with the sheets neatly tucked in all corners and the room temperature was spot on. The bath room was clean and plenty of towels for our group. The shower had great water pressure and the water temperature was nice and hot! The room A/C worked great and kept the room at a nice 68 degrees all night. Positive: "" Negative: Hot water didn't work in bathroom sink. Probably forgot to turn it on under the sink - I didn't check. Ice maker on my floor didn't work. It just ran continuously (and loud) with no ice.Breakfast was OK but not as nice as my last stay in Dunedin FL.

Love this hotel and the staff if great. Some have become friends to me. They are very understand and have positive attitudes. The rooms are really nice and clean. I've stayed in several different rooms. The location is great in Lafayete. They have a pool and plenty of parking! Holiday Inn Express I appreciate your hospitality, kindness and respect 😀

Unfortunately not all Holiday Inn Express’s are not created equal!! Stay away from this location (the Holiday Inn Express on Ambassador Caffery Pkwy)! This hotel is absolutely nasty, roaches and all! Holiday Inn Express is normally my go to for quick trips, so I assumed that I would get the typically great experience that I have grown accustomed to over the years from IHG hotels, unfortunately I was horribly mistaken! I arrived for check-in and the woman at the front desk had a seriously bad attitude. I was trying to ask a question and she damn near brushed me off, she never even looked up to make eye contact. I brushed it off and checked into my room. The room was spacious, but I could help but shake the feeling that not only did it feel dated, but also it didn’t feel like it was clean.
