Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gainesville by IHG

HONEST REVIEW!! I PROMISE! This was a work trip. Didn’t know how long I needed to stay so I called and spoke to Jonathan who was super helpful through my whole stay and answered all my questions. The hotel is nice. No issues. I stayed on the 2nd floor. Yes, the hallway is warm for some reason but I’m not staying in the hallway so, not a big deal. THE ROOM: the room is nice. Has some minor “dated” tvs and a blue wall for some reason but again. Not a big deal. The room was cold and I was able to adjust the room temp using the thermostat normally. The lamp by the bed has 2 power outlets on it and one of them looked like it had glue coming out behind it. Quick fix maybe? But the outlet worked and honestly. This won’t start a fire so no need to freak out NOT A BIG DEAL. The restroom was nice.

We had a concert at Winstar in Oklahoma and this hotel was less than 10 minutes away. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little older, but well maintained. The room was spacious and clean; the bed and a/c was perfect. Our suite came with a refrigerator, microwave and keurig which added a great suprise. I will stay here again!

Positive: Breakfast was to holiday inn express standards Negative: Room cleanliness was substandard. Restroom floor had not been cleaned and was greasy. Countertop had toothpaste on it. The bed was the only thing that was clean.

Beds are good, but too high. No hand soap, just bottles on wall. Ugh Bathroom and carpet have wear. Right on I-35. No complementary water on check in.

Overall was ok. Room was very humid when I first walked in and felt that way through my overnight stay. The provided soap in the shower was very nice, but seems that staff had mixed up the conditioner with some soap so I ended up shampooing my hair three times. That was the only down side however as breakfast was wonderful and the beds comfortable as well.
