Hampton Inn & Suites Gainesville

We came up to celebrate our beautiful daughter’s birthday. We arrived early before check-in. The staff served with excellent. Jennifer/Yenifer checked to see if there were any rooms available & checked us in early. Thank You Jennifer/Yenifer & Yolanda for being a blessing to our family. We also loved the free breakfast ie sausage biscuit & gravy & hashbrowns. The entire hotel is very clean both on the inside & outside. Thank you again for making our stay enjoyable. We are currently still on this hotel and intend to stay until tomorrow. I selected this hotel due to its proximity to the concert venue we will be attending tonight. I made the reservation via Hilton Honors and explicitly requested a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, the room has a strong smell of smoke and is also excessively moldy, causing me to experience adverse health effects, including coughing and breathing difficulties. I requested a room change, but the front desk informed me that an alternative room would only be available at noon, as housekeeping commences at 10. I found this explanation unconvincing, particularly after observing the housekeeping staff cleaning rooms on our floor. Presently, we are waiting in the lobby with our luggages. I strongly advise against staying at this

The king size room was surprisingly huge and beautiful. It was very clean also. The step in shower was easily accessible and safe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereals, waffles, coffee, milk and juice. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and comfortable. I almost didn't stay because of the parking situation. My pickup and RV are 52' combined. I was told to park at the Trucker's Paradise, but they're no longer in business and the gates are locked. So, this posed a major problem and it was after dark when I arrived. I managed to barely squeeze into the hotel parking. 😅

Positive: "" Negative: There were hundreds of grackel birds in the trees. There was feathers and poop everywhere and our car was covered in bird poop. It took 2 trips thru car was to remove it. Hotel posted a sign at checking desk. "Not responsible for birds." Horrible!
