Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft Myers East- The Forum by IHG

Clean and beds were really comfortable. Staff was untrained and had no idea how to help us with any questions. Our room thermostat was not working at all. Couldn't adjust up or down and on the coldest nights of the last 20yrs in FL, we wanted to warm up a little. Couldn't do it. They wouldn't help and just shrugged it off. Breakfast was fairly stock. Nothing special, but edible.

This hotel is in the same hospitality group as the hotels that I am employed with. This hotel sets the bar! The hotel was very clean! all areas! Every employee I encountered was polite and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the pool was clean and refreshing. The housekeeping staff was great. The rooms were so very clean! I am the GM of 2 award winning hotels (different brand) and this hotel needs exceeded all expectations! There also happens to be a few little critters that hang out near the trash enclosure that gave us some laughs! The location is close to the airport, to I75, not far from the beach. If you are looking for a clean affordable place this is it!

Very unfortunately this is not going to be a beaming review. We changed our plans and booked this hotel because it seemed much cleaner and newer than our original hotel booking for Fort Myers. This hotel was as we thought very clean and seem to fit our needs. However, it was the attention to detail where it fell down on several fronts. These little things make all the difference and can enhance or ruin a stay. Our room key cards had to be reprogrammed several times; even an hour later from check in. We were informed that if they were next to other credit cards it would render them useless. We then kept them separate, but it still continued, something is so wrong here! My wife was at breakfast and needed to use the toilet, she tried the lobby one and it was occupied, so she decided to

We stayed at this Holiday inn express for five days. Liz and Jose were awesome! A few things needed to be addressed when we first checked in. They took care of my requests immediately! The maintenance person was very nice and fixed what needed to be repaired.

TERRIBLE HOTEL!!! Recently stayed here for a family event. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was it was located near lots of food, and area attractions and they had a good pancake machine for breakfast. I could have slept on the bus stop instead and enjoyed that. The smell once you get on the hotel floor was repulsive! Smells like mildew and mold. The room was definitely not IHG quality. More like motel 6. My sheets had strange spots on them. The desk chair had stains that appeared to be semen. The shower faucet leaked. There was rust and mold all over the bathroom. The bathroom door was stripping. I left all day and came back to no clean towels or housekeeping completed. Apparently they are short staffed. I was told they would hold $75 deposit for incidentals when I checked
