Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fresno Northwest-Herndon, an IHG Hotel

This review is for ADA people- as we were assigned a room that was friendly. First off, the elevator doors close slowly. It won’t crunch your wheelchair as you get in. The room was spacious and the walkways around the bed were large enough to wheel through. Towel hooks were both above and lower too, light switches were all within reach if you aren’t tall. Bathtub has both fold up bench, lower hand held shower head. It is a bathtub though so help or upper body strength would be required. The bathroom has room on the floor to wheel through and maneuver, the door is wide (although very heavy, and unable to prop open.) Enjoyed our stay during the Christmas holiday. As always the customer service we receive is the best. They are always very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are clean. When we arrive I love the smell of clean, fresh areas. Can’t beat that. The value for our stay is always good, it comes with a variety of yummy breakfast items 🥞. It’s a 4-story hotel and although they have the train station and the other side is the highway the noise level is fine. The location is perfect for our needs. Anytime we need to stay in Fresno this is where we stay. The staff is friendly and attentive. Nothing but good things to say.

Very good hotel overall (7.7/10). Stayed 1 night in August. Room size was good for one person, but I imagine would feel somewhat cramped with multiple people. Great bed, very comfy, with very good pillows. Bathroom is a good size, with good towels. Shower was good, with a decent spray and good water pressure. TV was big and had a navigable guide, and the channel selection was good. AC worked very well. Can't comment on breakfast as I didn't partake. Very good staff. Parking is good but possibly would be just enough if the hotel was full to capacity. Traffic noise was noticeable, though it wasn't a case of thin walls as I couldn't hear anything from neighbouring rooms. I would definitely stay again, overall for the price paid ($71 total) it was great value.

Positive: Comfortable bed and multiple pillows that were very soft. Negative: Maybe a different selection of breakfast options. I was here for 3 different mornings, 1st morning was biscuits and gravy which was great. Then other 2 mornings were different items. A little boring

It should be a crime that they rent out these rooms. At least the one I was in. I think my camping tent has more noise insulation then my room did from the freeway noise. Baseline was 60-70 decibels all night long. Somewhere between a person having a conversation in your room and a washing machine running. Noise cancelling headphones didn't make a dent. The second night I got legit ear plugs from Harbor freight which finally allowed me to sleep. There is a thermostat on the wall that I'm pretty sure did nothing. The window unit seemed to be capped at 72deg and refused to go colder. It's a shame because I thought it was a beautiful property and the front desk staff was always friendly. I looked their rotating breakfast. However you fail as a hotel when sleep is impossible.
