Courtyard by Marriott Fresno

The hotel had ample parking with multiple entrances. It was easily accessible (right off the freeway). The hotel staff were so helpful and patient while checking in/out. I had the tastiest chicken quesadilla for dinner at the bar/restaurant (2 nights in a row). In the mornings, I loved being able to grab my cup of coffee at the cafe on my way to work. They allow you to quickly charge it to your room. The room was spacious, super clean, and had simple yet classy style decor. It wasn't too distracting or "loud" as some hotels can be. All the fixtures and appliances were new and in great working order. I was blown away by the beautiful and HUGE walk in shower stocked with full size Paul Mitchell hair care products. We stayed here last minute with our wheelchair basketball team after another hotel failed to communicate a broken elevator. They accommodated all us last minute. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean. The kids loved gathering in the common areas. Perfect stay

Positives-|Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Internal cleaners were very friendly and did a good daily quick linen change. Our room was nice and quiet.||Negatives-|Duck poo all over the external paths which made it difficult to walk to and from the car without getting it on your shoes and luggage. This was not cleaned off, it was left to dry. It was very unpleasant.|Pool area was filthy. It needs a good power washer clean on the pavers and a daily check by maintenance staff for picking up rubbish around the area. Bottles, litter was left there for over a week.|Pool water was so cloudy you could not see your own feet.|Internal of pool has years of scale built up around tiles.|Pool gates do not close which makes it a very high risk for children entering the pool unattended.

Stayed here for a week while in town for class, and it was a huge upgrade from the first hotel my work booked. The Courtyard had everything I needed for a comfortable stay—clean rooms, reliable Wi-Fi, and a quiet environment that made it easy to rest and focus. The location on E Shaw is very central, with plenty of food and shopping nearby, which was a big plus after long days. Overall, a great choice if you’re in Fresno for work or training and want something dependable and comfortable. No frills for a business trip hotel.

Friendly staff, comfortable pillows & mattress. Older hotel, but appears to have been recently upgraded. Very good / central location... close to Fresno St which we were in town for an athletic event.
