Lovely exterior that blends into the surrounding landscape beautifully. Our double queen room was quiet and comfortable. Very clean. Nice large bathroom. Continental breakfast was the usual fare - hot and refilled well as needed. |Very nice location to stay when visiting Wind Cave NP, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, and the Crazy Horse Memorial. We did all of those, and the drive to each was pretty and not far at all.

Had a 4 night stay as we explored the Black Hills region. The hotel location just on the edge of the town of Custer was very convenient. The room was a good size and very clean. The balcony was a nice bonus. Staff were polite. Some items at breakfast were missing or short.

We stayed 1 night earlier this month and found the rooms to be very clean, well equipped and comfy. Never heard any noise from other rooms (and the hotel was full) and they had a terrific breakfast each morning. The Lobby is beautiful with a lodge-look to it and beautiful big windows looking out to the woods and what looks like a waterfall/fountain that normally would have been working but wasn't during our stay. Although it was a bit pricey for a Holiday Inn, it was very nice and convenient to everything in Custer. We would stay here again.

We stayed here 9/20. We arrived around 930PM. Long drive from Denver airport and we were ready to relax with a drink. This hotel is very welcoming. The room is spacious, clean, beds are comfortable, and overall we had a quiet relaxing evening. The hotel seemed pretty full but it was quiet when we arrived. Breakfast was good. They offered a variety of hot foods and the coffee was good and they offered flavored creamer.
