Calamity Peak Lodge

We were shocked when we arrived that there was no AC. We are from the south, and AC is just not normally an option. It took us about 2 hours to cool our unit down, but to our surprise, we were very comfortable. I wish that they had left the windows open prior to our arrival 😞. Danielle who services the rooms is very friendly and helpful. The owners are also very friendly and helpful. Our unit is not a 5 star accommodation but it was perfect for our stay and we enjoyed it.

Wonderful owners. Great location between Custer and Custer State Park. Quiet. Room for kids to run. Nice cabin with nice furnishings. We stayed in Cabin 4 for seven nights. There were 4 kids and 3 adults - we brought a blow up mattress and threw it on the floor for one kid. Watched deer behind the cabin almost every night. I recommend this and would stay again if in the area! Very reasonable price too.

Super conveniently located & easy to find. Very relaxing setting with beautiful view & nice sitting area right outside the rooms in green grass. Cabin had a fridge, coffee pot, floor fan, recliner, TV, a nice shower and a window that opens!

My wife and I stayed in Calamity Peak Lodge for five nights while we visited the sights and activities around Custer. Our room was small but very clean and well kept. The owners were very friendly and responsive to our needs. We appreciated the good mattress and clean sheets. We will definitely book with Calamity Peak Lodge the next time we go to Custer.
