Holiday Inn Express St. Augustine - Historic

This Holiday inn and the people at work here exceeded our expectations at every level. The breakfast is awesome. The room was outstanding. Everything was immaculately clean. We could not have been more well pleased. We want to make a special thank you to Tashay, Nikki and Pete. They all work very hard to make our stay comfortable and pleasant.

The Holiday Inn Express was a good stay for us in St. Augustine. Just a few minutes drive from the historic downtown, it is very conveniently located. There are also several bars and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel has been newly renovated. Our room was clean and had a modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were of great size. I did find the walls to be a bit thin, so if you find yourself easily disturbed by noise, bring earplugs as an insurance policy. I personally did not need them and find myself to be a light sleeper. Maryna the receptionist was helpful and efficient.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in St. Augustine and left feeling mostly refreshed, with a side of eavesdropped conversations. The location? Super convenient—close to everything, but not buried in tourist traffic. The room? Clean, comfy, and modern enough to make me question my home décor choices. Now, the walls? Let’s just say if you’ve ever wanted to know your neighbor’s favorite show or bedtime argument routine, you’re in luck. Bonus points if you enjoy impromptu lullabies through drywall. We brought our EV but sadly found no charging station—so our car got as much rest as a toddler on a sugar high. Everyone here goes out of there way to make you feel special and takes good care of you. Great service. We did the hop on hop off bus around the old dristrict. The people here set it all up. Shuttle to the old district was included with the ticket, to and from which was great. We stayed later and got a 9.00 Urber back. Very convenient. Perfect day for touring a beautiful town.

Positive: It was close to the downtown area. Negative: The staff, especially the night staff was not welcoming friendly. It seems like she was a little mad with an attitude. Don’t know why. Customer service skills need more training.
