Holiday Inn Express Richmond by IHG

-Was greeted upon arrival. |-Room was clean upon arrival. |-Decent 2 nights sleep. |-Breakfast was sub par. Would have been nice if pancake machine was working. |-Juice machine pretty much out of order first day |-Went elsewhere for breakfast 2nd day|-Will not be back

I booked this hotel after a 9-hour drive with my 2-year-old, and one of the main reasons I chose this location was the pool—it was a key factor in helping her unwind and burn off energy after a long day on the road. To arrive and discover the pool is “out of order,” with no prior notice, was incredibly disappointing—especially considering the nearly $200 nightly rate. We weren’t informed at check-in or during booking, and only found out after walking down to use it. This kind of amenity closure should absolutely be communicated in advance and reflected in the room pricing. The lack of options left us with little choice but to put her back in the car and drive somewhere else just to help her decompress. Very disappointed in the experience and the inconvenience it caused.

We came in late due to traveling and just needed somewhere to sleep for the night! Another Holiday inn & express that was perfect. Bed was comfortable rooms super clean breakfast was yummy with different food options and Jordan at the front desk was phenomenal 😃

We knew we were in a good place the second we were greeted at this hotel! The employee at the desk was so personable & attentive to our needs. He made us feel very welcome after a long drive. The whole hotel is so clean & bright! The rooms are very comfortable & well-appointed. Everything you would need is there, even a full-size ironing board! Large screen TV was great. The bathroom mirror with special lighting was appreciated. Quiet room with modern amenities.

Breakfast needs improvement. Sausage gravy looked like it was there a long time. Dried up around the edges. Eggs were cold. The serving dishes did not open or close correctly. The potatoes were not cooked all the way and cold inside of them. But the coffee and muffins were great.
