Seldom Scene Meadow Bed & Breakfast

My stay at Seldom Scent Bed and Breakfast was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, there was a warm, homey atmosphere that made me and my wife feel instantly comfortable—almost like visiting family, but with the polish and quality you’d expect from a four‑star Hilton. The property is tucked away in a safe, peaceful setting, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Morning coffee on the porch came with the sound of birdsong and the sight of deer grazing nearby, making it the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life. What really set this stay apart was the owner‑manager’s attentiveness. You can tell they truly know how to anticipate travelers’ needs—whether it’s providing helpful local recommendations, accommodating special requests, or simply making sure everything runs seamle

Our stay was amazing! My husband was in town for business & I tagged along. We stayed with Leighann for 2 days. This was our first bed & breakfast experience & it was definitely superb! I can tell you that it was 2 of the best sleeps I have ever had! I really wanted to take the bed home with us! The home & setting were both lovely & warm. The outdoor patio was blissfully serene. You could smell the trees and greenery and feel our stress lift away. When you stay you MUST make time for the tremendously delicious breakfast spread! Leighann puts out an incredible array of local delights!!! I recommend a stay at Seldom Scene wholeheartedly! You will not be disappointed!

Well, we had a rather strange experience. We requested a weekend, Saturday to Monday. The host, Leighanne, warned us that there would be a dinner reception at the property Sunday evening. So to accommodate, she put us on the second floor and we agreed not to use the first floor during the reception. We get in on Saturday. There were no other guests, so we pretty much had the house to ourselves Saturday evening. Sunday morning, Leighanne comes up out of the basement. We didn't know she lived in the basement. After exchanging greetings, she suggests we leave and find another place to stay. She said multiple times, "Last night did not go well." She was referring to our three kids, I think. She probably thought they were loud. Like kids usually are. They didn't damage anything, they were just

The house is big and beautiful,also well maintained. The hostess is a very bright,educated,and fun...has great stories.We talked about her relatives that served in WW2 ...on both sides. The beds pillows & blankets are very comfortable! There is a nice propane grill to cook on.the kitchen dining room is spacious. We had five in our party and found it had plenty of room. The only downside is that the television was difficult to operate,and the channels were fairly limited,- Netflix and Amazon Prime are available. Overall I had a good three day stay, and will go back,to enjoy a good time again.

We went to Dayton Ohio before stay in this B n B. I love the beautiful flowers and bird watching around the house. The house is beautiful and spotless clean. We had lots of space to use outside our bedroom. We had a good night sleep and yummy breakfast. The best of all was a great conversation with the host. She has a lovable personality and I am inspired by her. We also found out Richmond was one of the hometown of the Wright brothers. ||We had a wonderful time. What a way to end our one week road trip.
