Holiday Inn Express Indiana by IHG

I asked to change my two night stay to one night. After explaining to the front desk my situation he had to talk to his manager. He was going to call me back. Two hours later still no call. When I got to the hotel to collect my belongings I asked about for an update the manager said they couldn’t because it was not before 11. However my call was before 11. Lack of customer service. The manager was more about making money instead of accommodating customer’s request. The front desk could care less being there as well. I stay at a lot of Holiday Inns. That was the worst. Never again.

Positive: Location, room shades, breakfast, firm pillows Negative: The staff was not very accommodating. When we arrived we were informed that we did not have a reservation then we were told that some one had checked into our rooms. Horrible experience. The manager apologized and was able to locate our room reservation.

I'll start off by saying that I am not a picky hotel person. We usually stay at lower price hotels when visiting this area. But we have stayed twice a month at another Holiday Inn Express for the past 2 years and we had points to use. Assumed this would be of the same caliber......NOT AT ALL! Of note the pics on the Google ad are not of this particular hotel. Only the second pic was the actual hotel. The hallways give false indication. We had to change rooms 3 times. The first room was dirty, worn, carpet torn, cobwebs from ceiling, marks and dirt all over the walls and baseboards in bathroom. The bathroom was so small you could barely get in and shut the door. There was an extremly strong smell that i couldn't place as well, so bad it immediately starting bothering my asthma. Went and ask

We have stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn Express hotels and even bad experiences weren’t really THAT bad. This one might be the exception. ||The location is good; it’s not a far ride from the Interstate, and it’s easy access to dining and shopping, if needed. The hotel is also a very short drive to the college. It’s even a quick drive to a playground, if you’re looking for one. But yes, as others have said, the parking lot is small, and not at all convenient for trailer parking. The room was quiet and had all the basics. The staff were there—not unfriendly, just not outgoing. There is a cold pool and a gym, but bring your towels, as they rarely restock.||Our problems with the hotel may be a staffing issue. There seemed to be one person who cleaned the rooms, so it made sense why no one vacuu

Where do we start? I have nothing nice to say about this hotel. Nothing. These are in no particular order. Most not discovered until it was very late and I was not interested in moving to another room that was just as messed up. Should have read the reviews as they were all pretty bad. Not one or two bad reviews… tons of them. - The pictures on the IHG website are not from this hotel. They state so in their captions. They say new pics coming soon 02/23. This is 02/26, three years later and they have not updated their pictures. This is absolute false advertising as the pictures are not accurate. - Heater was dirty. Grime stuck to exhaust vents and filters not cleaned. - Blinds were broken. When moving them up or down, pieces of rust were falling into the window frame. - Cold air blowing i
