Four Flags Inn

For anyone that doesn't want to see a mouse, hopefully it is the last picture, and also stay far away from here! I am writing this at 6 in the morning because I heard rustling in the bathroom and thought someone was breaking in. Nope, it was a mouse! This isn't the first room a mouse has been in. I have been staying here for a while, been in multiple different rooms and on various occasions there have been mice. In room 1, there are bags shoved under the walls because I'm assuming they're cracked and exposed otherwise. These are just pictures of ONE ROOM, they all look like this, but this one is one of the worst. From my pictures, we can see a cracked window and tiles in the shower, the shower is also filthy and the showerhead leaks. The two lamps are two different ones, only one works. I

I passed the Four Flags on my way through Indiana. I was going to stay at one of the more expensive hotels, but it didn't seem worth it for one night: $60.00 is hard to beat. Although the place is pretty old, the staff is friendly. Nothing ever seemed to be a problem when I asked them for something. The rooms are pretty clean, with maybe a few little bugs and here, but nothing too bad. I really appreciated that my room was conveniently located near the dumpster, so I didn't have to walk far to get rid of any garbage. This place is really a throwback to the old motels I remember as kid. Worth the price.

The Four Flags is a must-stay for any road-tripper, or weary traveler. This charming, lovingly restored, roadside motel is a welcome pit-stop for anyone looking for a clean room, and first-rate hospitality. The Guest Services manager, will go almost too far out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. As some others mentioned, it is a little rough around the edges, with some cracked walls and a few bugs. Those could be fixed with a little work. All in all, it reminded me of the Rosebud Motel on Schitt’s Creek, and I felt like Moira Rose for the three nights I was in Indiana!!!

Downright nasty! You stay there for the weekend and we will never go back. If you're single person I don't mind not very clean then this would be the place for you but if your family person do not go not good for kids at all. Next to the bed that my son was sleeping in there was a dirty plastic knife on the floor. You can't forget the tiles in the bathroom especially behind the toilet were all completely broken up the towel racks were broke everything in that room just looked rundown and downright nasty it seriously looks like all they did was make the bed and that was it. When we walked in on the first night the stand between the beds had cigarette ashes all over it which this was supposed to be a smoke free room. My stay was for two nights. Asked for non-smoking room but room smelled terrible of smoke and i suspect smoking was being done in the rooms adjacent and was filtering into my room. There were burn holes in my blanket. The bedspread was filthy. I removed it and slept on top of the linens in my sleeping bag. There was no room linen service provided or bed making service. I needed to go to office to request new towels and i received towels a bit bigger than hand towels. The mattress was old and sagging. There was a spider living in the corner of the bathroom. Harmless but uncomfortable. Communication with the person at the desk was difficult and I suspect that he understood half of what I said. Stay here and you are paying for a dirty, uncomfortable stay.
