Customer Reviews
The location provided easy access to all the places we went. We had a lovely view of the mountains from our room. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was quite good. The guest sitting area is very welcoming and staff was very responsive to every inquiry and request. Bonus! The pool and spa were heated and available until 11pm!!
ROom was heavily scented but managment specifically Randy made it right quickly with his impeccable customer service. I greatly appreciate him. I have never had such a helpful and customer first professional in all my business trips of which is always a holiday in express hotel stay. Dozens of stays. And this man Randy who has worked here for more than a decade is the best experience I’ve had with a staff member bar none. I’m so glad he was who I encountered when looking for real help. The service he provided was top notch above average consideration for the experience here. Somebody give this man a raise. Service like this isn’t common place anymore. And it’s what sets a business apart from others.
Positive: Breakfast Negative: Inadequate housekeeping - stayed four days, came once, and only changed towels - did not empty trash or make bed. Have stayed here several times, and this is the first time we were unhappy.
Main issue: This hotel uses extremely strong heavily perfumed cleaning products. Entering the room was like breathing a bottle of cheap floral scented cleaner. The bathroom smells heavily like cheap faux vanilla. Within ten mins I felt my throat tighten and began sneezing. I assume it’s to hide a musty smell. Barbacoa restaurant is only good for their $70 steaks all else on the menu is bland and unworthy of the price. Their cheesecake bites were popular. I didn’t try them. The steak was good but staff stole the box with it since it was barely touched. I’d skip that experience if I could rewind time. Manager made it right quickly. Still I’d probably avoid it in the future & not recommend it to a friend. The hotel nor the steak house are quite what is to be expected for the standards held
I stay at this Holiday Inn Express every time we go through Boise. I love the location, close to the Boise River and near to three parks. It is an ideal spot. The breakfast is excellent in the mornings with multiple food options and plenty of room to sit and eat. The rooms are clean and quiet. I’m not saying things are always perfect but overall this is always a very good place to stay.
