Holiday Inn Express Athens-University Area by IHG

We had a lovely stay! The hotel was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious! I loved the fact that they had a coffee machine where I could get fresh coffee all day. The breakfast coordinator, Bree, was extraordinary! She was friendly and helpful and had a delightful personality. We will definitely be staying there again when we come back to Athens.

This hotel's staff was very welcoming & friendly. We found the common areas & room to be clean and comfortable. The room itself was fairly basic, no-frills, with a tiny bathroom. Beds were comfortable, but as with all hotels, the pillows were too soft/flat. (Hence, why we try to travel with our own pillows!) The only chair in the room was a basic desk chair. The free breakfast was decent with a nice variety, including a pancake machine (which I've never seen anywhere before)! There was plenty of easy parking.

Booked through Priceline and stayed on Sunday 9/7/25. The hotel charged an additional $10 parking fee to park in an almost empty lot. Include all your charges in the number you quote. Otherwise, the hotel was a decent value and centrally located to UGA.

Excellent service, excellent staff and excellent rooms. The staff were very caring and polite. I came in late last night needing a place and they were very helpful. The rooms were inviting, were clean and quiet as a hotel should be. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good too! Thank you to the staff that did such an amazing job!

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Service is excellent...Keno is so kind and pleasant. Always a smile and recognizes us when we are here even though we only stay 3 or 4 times a year. Joy is another excellent employee. She goes out of her way to accommodate us and all guests. She provides excellent services. Joy makes the stay more like home. All is good except the $30 a day parking fee, which is over and above the ridiculous game weekend rates. Seems like they could eat that fee for Priority Members. Why have these clubs without any benefits????
