Holiday Inn Carbondale-Conference Center, an IHG Hotel

The location allows for easy access to the shopping district of Carbondale. Pool, no hot tub. Attached restaurant is closed and for sale, so no food available at the hotel. Plenty of options nearby.

The staff were incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We drove for 14hrs and stopped here. They couldn't find our booking at first. The front desk staff just told us we didn't have one. We gave them our confirmation number and they found it. They just generally acted so annoyed to have to check us in. Didn't tell us where our room was or even the elevator. The room was filthy. Massively overpriced for the quality. Glad we only needed to stop for the night. Would never consider coming back. I've never had a hotel staff be so rude.

Stayed 5 nights as Diamond member for work. Stayed here 2 years ago, and hotel was being renovated at that time; recognized several of the same helpful staff. This time, hotel is still being renovated after 2 years. The conversion to HIE is taking way too long. Was given a quiet corner room close to stairs. The renovated room looks good except it wasn’t cleaned well as there was sticky food stains on the table. Bed was comfortable; lighting was adequate; AC worked; water pressure was good in the bathroom. Still using small bottles of shampoo and conditioner with tiny dove soap; there was no body wash. Breakfast was not great; Bunch of packaged junk with some fruits (no difference from 2 years ago). Indoor heated pool is working; very small gym with very few equipment. New Asian buffet clos

This is a Stellar Property! Samuel was amazing from the first inquiring phone call to the check-in. The room was freshly renovated and clean! Very comfortable surroundings which made me book a second night! Spoke with Carla, the manager to let her know her staff and property are Top Notch! Thank you so much IHG Holiday Inn Carbondale!

I drove in late one night, and these great folks provided a first class experience. Room was clean, comfortable and the whole experience was just amazing.
