Best Western Saluki Inn

Breakfast is below average, but powedered eggs were edible and clean. Waffle machine worked. The hotel thawed biscuits are like dry toast. Hotel has been updated and suite room was clean. I would highly recommend they replace the syrupy coffe machine with real drip coffee. It does not taste like good brewed coffee. The coffee pods in the room are better.

Positive: The Breakfast Negative: So the whole hotel is is bad shape, the staff was very nice and helpful. The floors in our bedroom were uneven and a trip hazard as well as the hall and the hall by the elevator. The hallway had a terrible chemical smell.

Everything was perfect. It was horrifically hot outside. It was 99 degrees with a heat index of 110!!! When I got checked in I went to our room, opened the door, and was blown away! It was so cool and our air conditioner was set on 67 degrees. IT WAS AWESOME!!! It was such a refreshing surprise. I was so grateful because it was so hot outside. That was so considerate. The staff went above and beyond to check on us and make sure everything was perfect. The Breakfast was DELICIOUS!! We really enjoyed our stay! We've stayed here before but this was our best visit.

Stayed here a couple days ago. Had a pretty good stay. Clean, updated, organized room and general areas. I slept like a baby. Pretty good breakfast. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which is pretty nice if you want a bite to eat. I'll definitely book again when in town. Go ahead and book!

We have stayed here several times on trips/visits to SIU, never a major problem before, minor stuff like room hot, fridge didn’t work, but generally didn’t impact our stay. This time however, as soon as we opened the door the swarm of bugs scattered. We went back downstairs and showed the front desk the pictures of the bugs. Her reply, “oh, ok.” And then proceeded to hand me a room key for another room, directly across the hall. When I asked her how she knew there weren’t bugs in there she replied, “no, it’s okay.” Due to it being family weekend, we had no choice. I went across the street to Walmart and bought a can of raid and sprayed our room from top to bottom. To make matter worse, less than 5 minutes handing back the key we watched another guest walk into that room. Nothing was done t
