Cabin on the Hill

First time in the Carbondale and Shawnee Wine Trail area. Cabin was in a great location just close enough to town for restaurants and within good driving distance to all of the wineries. Cabin was clean, welcoming, and just what we needed. Owners were great! We will definitely be coming back.

We made our reservation on short notice on a beautiful Sunday evening. Dan and Jill couldn’t have been more welcoming and kind. We loved our short time at the Red Cottage which is super comfortable, cozy and peaceful . We were entertained by the animals on the farm, especially the peacocks and turkeys in full bloom!. The sunset brought deer to the meadow. Watching and listening to the peacocks, turkeys and guineafowl settle for the night was a fun way to close our evening. Enjoying a nightcap on the porch brought Libby the cat and Duke and Hank the dogs for a sweet visit. *If you are looking for a place to spend time, you will be sorry if you don’t choose Cabin On the Hill* Thank you again for a wonderful stay! The Red Cottage was amazing. It was nice size and extremely clean. It was nice to have coffee, sugar, creamer provided as well as a selection of spices. The location is great, close enough to town but you feel much further out. We really enjoyed looking at all the animals. We also really took advantage of the hot tub since it rained a lot during our stay and the deck on the cabin is very large. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in the red cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful clean cabin with everything you could need. The farm and property are beautiful, it's a perfect destination if you're wanting to get away from everything. We also enjoyed the fresh farm eggs for breakfast, and we'll be highly recommending this place to our family and friends.

Cabin on the Hill is phenomenal getaway from the world! With private hot tubs in the cabins and being close to so many amenities we will keep coming back here, it was my second time here. About an hour and twenty from Garden of the Gods and really close to the Shawnee Wine Trail check it out! You won't be disappointed. The farm has great appeal with an array of beautiful animals, though Hank and Duke are probably our favorite. A beautiful spot.
