Hilton Garden Inn Wichita Downtown

Stopped by the Hilton Garden Inn Wichita Downtown and had a great experience. The lobby was very clean and well-kept, and the atmosphere felt modern and welcoming. I grabbed an unsweet tea from the Garden Grille & Bar, which was quick and easy. Special shout-out to Guillermo at the front desk — super friendly, professional, and welcoming. He made the visit even better. Overall, a very positive experience and a hotel that clearly takes pride in presentation and service. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re downtown.

We chose this hotel because we were going to a concert at Intrust. Love the location because you can walk to the event. We have stayed here before but were disappointed with the street noise. Decided to try a room with no windows. I didn’t think I would like it or that I would feel claustrophobic but it was fine! Would gladly do it again-so quiet! The rooms are a nice size and very clean. The bathroom is small but adequate. |We did not use the pool but went upstairs to look at it. Was hard to find but a maid showed us where to go-a different elevator. The pool area is beautiful! Definitely one of a kind in Wichita!

Positive: My kids loved the pool. Negative: The additional charges. Was not informed that breakfast was an extra charge until we had already put food on our plate, the food was gross, the waitress was rude, the guy at the front desk was rude.

We had an incredibly disappointing stay. My son passed away and I brought my other children here on his birthday as a way to have a reprieve from grief and enjoy the pool as a mini retreat. The plan was to arrive at check in, swim as long as we could, and then swim again in the morning until check out. We set off in our swim suits to find the pool and ended up in a locked stair well. After climbing up and down the stairs to all five floors multiple times to check for any unlocked doors, we ended up having to walk through the 6inches of snow and 12 degree weather in our swim suits in the (unplowed) parking lot to get back in through the front doors. The rooms were very clean, the beds were soft. the staff was friendly, and the pricing was comparable with even lesser brand hotels. A lot of people complain about the pool being slippery, I can see that around the decking area if it's wet and you're not careful it can be a little slick because there is no grip tape, but that was only in a small area. The only complaint I would have is because of the location of the pool it's not well monitored and someone had dropped a large group of about 10 children under the age of 12 and left them up there by themselves without any supervision the entire time we were in the pool.
