Hyatt Regency Wichita

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Wichita for a business trip from Monday through Saturday (plus an unexpected extra night due to flight delays). Overall, it was a solid stay. I had two different rooms during my visit, and both were clean — not immaculate, but perfectly fine and comfortable. The only issue I ran into was that the shower door leaked water onto the bathroom floor. Once I figured that out, I set aside a towel each day to catch the water. Housekeeping did a great job replacing the towels daily without issue, which I appreciated. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, both at check-in and checkout. This is by far the most toxic hotel experience I’ve ever had. The property checked me out without my permission and repeatedly insisted it was my fault for “not showing up,” even though I explained multiple times that my flights were cancelled repeatedly—something completely outside of my control. They also promised to return the points to my account, yet the credits have still not been restored.

Positive: absolutely nothing our room was filthy, called front desk they gave us free parking (which was free for hotel guests anyway) left several message for manager no one responded. we were on floor that had construction which started before 8am Negative: re above statemwmt

2.5 stars. Hotel is nice but we didn't have the best experience. We arrived at 4pm and was told our room wasn't ready even though check-in started at 3pm. The front desk said they would call us when our room was ready and gave an approximate 30 minutes for it to be ready. After an hour of no phone call we returned and found that our room was finally ready. The vending machine on our floor wasn't working, the vending machine on another floor gave us the wrong beverages. We ordered pizza and it was left with the front desk agent who then left it unattended in the five minutes it took us to get to the lobby. I stayed here for two nights during a three-day convention. The room was beautiful, clean, spacious, and well organized, with a very comfortable bed and a great view of the river and downtown Wichita. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel restaurant offered a solid buffet for breakfast and dinner, plus convenient late-night room service. During my stay, the hotel was over 80 percent full, and unfortunately the hot water could not keep up with demand. After a long day of meetings, I ended up taking a cold shower at midnight, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I would consider returning in the future, especially for a vacation.
