Candlewood Suites Wichita East by IHG

Went in around 1 in the morning- looking for a room for 2 guests. What I notice immediately is two front desk service people sitting down in the lobby. I ask (as I see the lady) get up if she had a room available for 2 guests. She said no not until 3PM because she closed out her shift for the day. My question is 1.why are you there then and why are their 2 of you sitting down? It's peculiar to me because my husband and I usually stay here and were here in January- we left early in the morning and asked for a early check in, typically this hotel is accommodating and kind- these two bozos just reiterated one another while twirling their thumbs.

Extremely nice rooms, only stayed one night. Large room lots of space, clean, ability to cook. Full size fridge, clean bathrooms. Only gave 4 stars for location because of the u turns off the highway

This hotel provided an exceptional experience, from the warm welcome at check-in to the quiet, beautifully furnished room that made me feel right at home. The facilities were modern and well maintained, and the staff showed great professionalism throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort and convenience.

The staff was very professional and greeted me as an IHG member. Very proficient during the check in process. Recommended places to eat in the area. Overall made you feel like your stay was important to them. I would recommend this hotel. Can definitely make some minor improvements that would significantly benefit both guest and property.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I experienced during my stay. I checked out of my room on time on 01/16/26 and returned my room keys to one of the three front desk clerks on duty at that time. Unfortunately, none of the staff were wearing name badges, so I am unable to identify the individual involved. After checking out, I informed the clerk that I would be waiting in the lobby for my husband to pick me up. Approximately 15–20 minutes later, the same clerk asked where my husband was and whether he was in a meeting. I explained that he was on his way to pick me up. At that point, I did not feel it was necessary to provide further personal details. Due to an unexpected delay, my husband arrived later than anticipated.
