Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh-Durham Airport

I live in Raleigh, had a very early flight to Indianapolis, and decided to stay at the airport to make my life easier the next morning. Typically, people don't leave reviews of airport hotels unless it's negative. I felt as if this hotel deserved a positive review. I am typically a luxury/4-star hotel traveler for vacations, but for a quick overnight stay near the airport, this hotel exceeded my expectations. ||My hotel room was clean. The staff were friendly. It's what you expect from a three-star hotel. The rooms are more traditionally decorated (some would say dated), but I found nothing wrong with our room. I have been a Hilton diamond member for 20 years. This experience does not align with Hilton standards. The front desk staff was amazing but the bartender was atrocious. Apparently he has been working there for 20 years. He lacks basic bartending skills. He could not make a margarita. He did not have triple sec or simple syrup. He used sprite in my margarita and stated ”every drink needs carbonated soda. It helps you get drunk faster.” A bartender should not be encouraging patrons to get drunk. This goes againt ATF standards. This man needs to retire.

Location is convenient, and service is efficient. That's about the only positive. Room was not clean at ALL- stains on the ceiling, carpets stained, bathroom tile was splattered with... er, something...tile grout is discolored orange with mildew, bathroom shelves haven't seen a dusting in years.... Continental breakfast was disgusting and overpriced. Pillows are thin so we had to order additional. Expected more from Hilton, but we got in so late and so tired, we just crashed and got out of here as soon as possible.

I live in VA and work from home. My office is in Cary, NC and I have stayed at several hotels in the area. I stayed at this hotel earlier this month. I arrived late around 10pm. My room was definitely not up to the same standards as the other hotels that I have stayed at in the area. The furniture was worn and chipped, the leather on the ottoman was messed up, the curtain was broken, the freezer section in the mini fridge had ice build up in it. The pictures say it all. They staff offered to get me a different room but it was late and I was tired. Also, I am assuming that this is not the only room that has these issues. The next morning I spoke to a manager. She was very kind and refunded me that night and the following night that I did not stay yet. I ended up getting a room at Hyatt Hous

Positive: checked us in at the front desk and provided exceptional customer service. He cared about meeting our needs as a guest at the Hilton Garden Inn Airport Hotel in Raleigh NC . His care and concern for us made for an excellent overnight stay. Negative: N/A
