Hilton Garden Inn Ocean City Oceanfront

Loud and dated rooms; this 3 star hotel was filled with a conference which wasn’t notated on their listing and the place was a loud nightmare of young ladies yelling all night. The poorly poured concrete layout leaves very little sound suppression between rooms - you can easily hear neighboring units 3 down. The bedding is old. The top of the bedding was very worn, snagged fabrics and a texture coarse and unwelcoming. During my 2 night stay the ac unit reset at 2-3 am causing the room to reset to whatever the hotel wanted to regulate, the room flashed with bright lights and the unit made a humming noise all early morning. Positive: All rooms are ocean front. They also have some parking under the building so in bad weather you stay dry. Negative: We were going to eat at the in house restaurant on Thursday late afternoon. Bar stools were pretty full. 2 bartenders. Looked like 2 occupied tables in back, and 1 waitress. No one ever acknowledged us after standing there about 10 minutes and left.

Our room was perfect! Clean, and a very smart layout with lots of storage (King Suite with 2 rooms and kitchen). All rooms have balconies. The staff were all wonderful and the restaurant and bar were very good. Our breakfast was great and packed well to keep it hot. Kitchen is stocked for cooking as well. Direct access to the beach. We'll be back!

I spend 80% of my time traveling all over the world, living in and out of hotels and condos, and I see and hear some of the most ridiculous things that most people wouldn't even believe. One of the reasons I am writing this review, something I rarely do, is because after listening to this guy complain while he was checking out for about 25 minutes, I thought my head was going to explode. News flash: if you stay at a three-star hotel, don't show up with five-star expectations, wearing a Rolex that ticks, wondering if mine is broken because it sweeps, and the luxurious 300 Chrysler that you told your wife was just like a Bentley Phantom until you pulled up parked next to my Bentley Phantom and ruined your whole vacation. Our first time staying at this hotel it is a beautiful place. Very well maintained and the restaurant was out of this world for breakfast. Would definitely return. Pet friendly was a key factor of staying here thank you for being kind to our four-legged friends.
