Hilton Garden Inn Jackson/Clinton

We've used this hotel multiple times a year for at least four years. It’s unfortunate that the conditions seem to decrease with each stay and our last stay was really disappointing. Our reservation was for four nights – December 27-31 ($750.00 with AA discount). After checking in Saturday night after 10PM and going up to the room, we found the room door open, the lock causing it not to close. I called the front desk as I dare not enter an unlocked room with my children. They responded quickly and sent someone up who checked the room to make sure it was safe. I appreciate that response, and we entered the room. Once in the room while placing our luggage and bags down, we were greeted by a Christmas cockroach crawling about. This is a very tired hotel. Some items were easy fixes in room with not a major outlay. This franchisee needs Hilton corp to do inspection and renovations need to be made. Service was OK but did not recognize my diamond for life status.

I booked the King Bed Deluxe. Online it is described as "Sleeps 4" and has an L-Shape Sofa, so I booked for my party of 3. Upon arrival we found it did not have the sofa. I asked the clerk and showed screenshots of the reservation details, and she happened to be on the phone with her boss. Her boss said they were aware of the incorrect wording on the website, and would work on getting it fixed. The hotel was sold out so they could not put us in another room (as was surrounding hotels due to area events). They also did not have an available cot. I would think if you were aware your website had incorrect information and a reservation was made for 3 that you knew only slept 2, at the very least you would reach out to make the customer aware, at best you would offer to only charge for a normal

Positive: Have always stayed there when visiting Jackson/clinton. This location has great access to all surrounding amenities. Negative: My room had no air conditioning it was hot. was informed that that room should not have been rented out. And they only refunded 50%.

I have been to several Hilton hotels, most of them Garden-Inns and I have to say this the worst one of all so far. Simply comparing to all other hotels, this one is still near the bottom. Things like poo stains in the toilet, hair on the counters, and apparently a “towel crisis”. If I were to give one positive note, the gym is mostly nice. The equipment in this one should be the standard for a majority of hotels here. Just ask for some disinfectant wipes and a towel (well… maybe not a towel) and you can have a decent workout. What matters most, though, is I am still alive! What a time!
