Econo Lodge Clinton - Jackson West

This motel had a number of issues. The room smelled like musk when I walked in. The bath tub had a ring of mold around the caulking. There was a spider or a similar critter on the nightstand when I woke up. All local channels were missing from the TV lineup. The room door and other room doors had missing chucks of paint. The management is not taking care of this motel either with basic cleanliness and housekeeping or routing building maintenance and pest control.

First off Steven that works the front desk is wonderful! He was very pleasant and helpful. The owners should give him a raise. We had to stay there for a XC meet because all the other (good) hotels were sold out. We paid $65 for the room maybe a little high. Steven did put us in room 220 which was one of the "nicer" rooms. Bed and pillows are not comfortable at all. There was a huge bug on the ceiling. Our team stayed there as well and my son's discovered 2 cockroaches when he work up. Another room has exposed wiring. Will probably never stay here again. It was walking distant to 2 restaurants which was nice. The breakfast buffet was not good at all but we made due.

Gotta good sleep for cheap. Staff was helpful and kind. Definitely run down but for me its not an issue. No bugs and wasn't dirty. Id recommend it if passing through.

Asked for a handicap room. When we got there, they said it had “maintenance issues” and was unavailable. The tv wouldn’t turn on and the phone didn’t work. They did fix the tv. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Room was clean, lights are quite dim and not bright enough to light up the room to normal lighting but no bugs, clean, and nice staff!
