Hilton Garden Inn Columbia/Harbison

We checked in Wednesdays New Years Eve! We where in SC for our son's and daughter n law first baby!!! We checked in online, got our key scan so we could go straight to room. The key scans did not work. We asked for an extra blanket first night. She said they only had 10 for the whole hotel! They had them all loaned out! We went to use microwave to warm something up, it didn't work! Neither did the coffee maker or mini fridge! We asked to move he went to check to see if they had something close, we already had our PJ's on. Didn't have anything close. We asked to move in the morning (wanted to be at hospital at 9:30) the gm at front desk was really nice but the card keys for new room weren't working so he had to let us in. We stayed one night at this hotel and it was perfect. Quiet, clean, comfortable. Jae at the front desk was friendly and helpful ...check in was a breeze. (She was swamped with arrivals but cleared the line quickly and with a smile. Can't ask for more ) This hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shopping. We will stay here again when we visit Columbia

We had an unplanned extended stay before the Christmas holiday, and the circumstances were stressful. Im so thankful we ended up at this HGI. Everyone has been so lovely to us. They truly go above and beyond to accommodate all their guests. The two departments Ive had the most interaction with has been the front desk and the kitchen. Eric and Courtney have been wonderful in handling all my reservations. They are professional and I love their energy. Yolande has also been super nice and extremely helpful. The ladies who take care of the breakfast are beautiful inside and out. Definitely enjoy the delicious breakfast and I promise Lauren and Vee will take excellent care of you and your furbabies. The rooms are very clean. The pool and fitness center are pristine and very well taken care of.

Very clean with a friendly staff, and close to the better restaurant chains and the interstate but still very quiet in my room. I never went to the pool or gym. The weekend breakfast buffet was scrambled eggs, grits, potatoes with peppers skillet cooked, bacon and sausage patties. Several breads for toasting, bagels. Cereals available also. Milk, juices and coffee included in the $20 price made this buffet a deal. Hot water stayed hot in the shower. The bed was excellent. The heater rarely ran even in 20° weather, it was comfortable at my 73° setting. I will return

Disappointed with my stay at this location. They advertise as recently renovated. Unsure what was renovated, the room was old. Shower head was awful and sprayed water in a small stream in all directions no matter the setting. Possibly one of the worst shower experiences I’ve had. The room had no soap. The tv was small and out of date and did not have streaming options. It’s rare to be in a hotel these days without smart tv capabilities. If they recently renovated, you’d think they’d have upgraded the tv and shower head. The room was not serviced during our stay. The housekeepers were very loud each morning slamming doors and talking loudly to each other.
