Hillside Waterfront Hotel

This place is incredible. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Door County and this is the best. Gorgeous views, really well-appointed rooms, spa shower, 24/7 coffee and tea, walking distance to everything in town. Diane was so welcoming and Julia was very responsive over text. It’s a splurge for sure but absolutely worth it. Idk what scent they have in the hallways and lobby but I want my whole life to smell like that

The Hillside Waterfront Hotel is a beautifully appointed historic hotel in Door County. The lake front views are stunning and the sunsets are amazing. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with lots of extra touches that make the stay extra special. The owner, Diane, was exceptionally accommodating and thoughtful. We highly recommend the Hillside experience!

This was one of the most relaxing and comfortable hotel stays of my life. I love staying in Ephraim and have always admired this hotel from afar and was so excited to finally book a stay. It surpassed my expectations. The room (we had the Forget-Me-Not) was impeccably clean (and I am picky about that) and so cozy and comfortable. I loved the little fireplace and the shower was amazing. The amenities in the hotel, from the “water bar” with delicious filtered water on tap to the coffee area to the bathroom necessities available to grab were great as well. The views of the water from the front of the hotel are beautiful, especially for sunset, and the location is perfectly central in the town and the peninsula as a whole. In my opinion Hillside is simply the nicest lodging in Door County. The beautiful view over looking the bay, the “Top Drawer” lodging, amenities, and convenient location make this the ideal place from which to visit Door County. The owner, Diane, is personally involved with every aspect of the operation even to helping with luggage. This was our first stay at the Hillside but won’t be our last. It is so nice, that staying there is a good enough reason for the trip all by itself.

This was our fourth time staying at this wonderful establishment! I’m long overdue in writing a review….. This is our favorite place in Door County. It cannot be beat, between the rooms, the location, the amenities and the owner and staff. Everything is top notch! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
