Highland Inn

This place has got to be number 1 or 2 of the worse hotels I’ve ever visited and I spent 18 years on the road as a truck driver so I’ve been to hotels all across the country. I drove uber for 12 hrs and was too exhausted to go home. They charged me $150 for the room and lied and said it was the only room available. I went in the room it smelled like miss and mildew. The lights didn’t work in the room and they refused to refund my money. They then gave me another room and it was the same thing. The lights didn’t work and the room smelled like piss and mildew. I’m surprised the city even let them remain open. If I could give them negative stars I would. I’ve never seen a hotel that poorly managed and that disgusting. My skin was itching as soon as I left. Positive: It was remolded. Negative: The towels were dirt with dirt markings on them. The tub was worse. It hadn?t been cleaned and was filthy. I would not bathe my dog in that tub!!!

I had read good reviews about this place and the price was right...when I arrived there were purple spotlights pointed up on the columns of the hotel. I found out the promised breakfast hadn't been served for months - and from appearances won't be for a long time. The whole lobby was closed off and looked like a mess. There was a little window like sleazy hotels to check in at. Tacky looking signs were taped to the walls. The room had garish lighting and a fake wood floor. Looked like an attempt had been made at updating. There was a fridge and microwave, and coffee maker. There are definitely better options.

This place is filthy and pretty much a dump. The front desk staff did not even speak English. They had to use a phone to translate when I checked in. Lobby is closed - You just have to go through a side window. Rooms are absolutely outdated and dirty and physical damage. It's right off I-20 so it's very convenient and it's the cheapest place around, but remember you get what you pay for.

0 (zero) stars for this place, I had to give at least one star just to post this review. The last time I stayed here which was about three years ago it was a placed I thought I would stay again. GUESS I WAS WRONG. The rooms were not clean my sheets were dirty as I asked for clean ones they decided to moved my room when I walked in it was clean after unloading we went out to eat as soon as we got back we were hanging out in the room all seemed to be going well as we all began to get ready for bed then BOOM there is was my worst fear BEDBUGS!!! We said oh hell NO we collected out things and got the hell up out of there. Being so late in the night the worker didn't want to or just didn't know how to refund our money they say check your room well the first ten minutes of entering the door from
