High Seas Motel

This motel exceeded our expectations in many ways. When we first started to plan our trip to Maine and the Bar Harbor area, I was searching hotels and was seeing prices between $300-$600 night and was immediately thinking this trip may be out of our budget. BUT, then I came across High Seas Motel and started reading the great reviews and saw that it was well within our budget.| This motel was great! It's about 3 miles from Bar Harbor on Rt 3 and we loved that there were a couple of great restaurants beside the motel. Bar Harbor Lobster Pound and Mainly Meats BBQ, which we enjoyed both.| Our room was so nice and clean, huge king bed with a comfortable mattress, nice shower with lots of hot water and good pressure. What a nice place! Large, clean rooms that were welcoming. A nice TV and parking next to your room. Price was good too. The owner gave us a great lobster place recommendation a few blocks away. This is on the shuttle route as well. They will pick you up and drop you off at the motel.

Great location to get to Acadia and Bar Harbor, also very, very close to great food spot: Bar Harbor Lobster Pound. Swimming pool was clean and cozy and room was exactly what you would expect for the price and clean. What was amazing is how Staff helped us get back our son's stuffed dinosaur toy which we have left in the room. They wrote to us as soon as they found it and since we were already 2h away they have sent it to our next hotel. But it did not end there- the packaged came full of surprises- including picture story of what the dinosaur was doing while he was on a small vacation without his owner- it was truly lovely and made all of us- especially our son- laugh.

Clean, large rooms in a well maintained motel. The owners were friendly and always happy to help with any requests. The property is also clean and well maintained. The motel is just a short drive out of town which is probably a good thing. Loved that they had free coffee available all day long! Would definitely recommend this place!

This was a clean hotel with large, clean rooms outside of the busy area of Bar Harbor. Staff, a husband/wife team were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Catered well to the guests. For example, we were going through a lot of towels between showers after strenuous, hot hikes in unseasonable weather and using the pool, so they left several extra towels for us. The pool was very clean and nice and there were abundant little picnic table/seating areas to relax. Great value!
