Heavenly Valley Lodge

We enjoyed our time here at Heavenly Valley. Parking was very convenient we were able to park right in front of our room. We had a cute little room with a fire place and kitchenette. It was quite cozy and very clean. The housekeeper Rosy went out of her way to let us know we left a blanket behind and offered to bring it to us next time she was in our home town. Thank you Rosy! I highly recommend if you’re coming to south lake.

We loved staying at Heavenly Valley Lodge. The room was clean and exactly what we expected. |Unfortunately between road construction nearby and the fact that it was a motorcycle weekend in the area it was pretty noisy while the windows were open.|But we found the lodge to be very cozy and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. |We would definitely return again but next time make sure it isn't during motorcycle weekend!

We booked two nights. When we arrived, the place seemed very cozy and welcoming. However, the toilet didn’t work, and instead of going to the mountains on Saturday for skiing as we had planned, we were trying to figure out how to deal with this issue. First, we waited for someone to come and fix it. They did come, but the problem was not solved, so we were moved to another room. However, it was smaller than the original one, and we were only given the option to either accept a refund or stay—there were no other options. I thought everything was resolved, but then the PIN didn’t work, and we spent over an hour trying to sort that out as well. I would have left a good review if this hadn’t happened, however, I think it’s very unfair and frustrating to come on a trip and, instead of enjoying

Heavenly Valley Lodge at Lake Tahoe is a charming and cozy stay that feels like a true mountain retreat. The rooms are warm and inviting, featuring fireplaces and a small but very usable kitchenette, perfect for a comfortable getaway. Room service is excellent, adding to the relaxing experience. The location is also fantastic—just 5–10 minutes from the lake and plenty of great restaurants, making it easy to explore without hassle. Whether for a romantic escape or a peaceful vacation, this lodge combines comfort, convenience, and charm beautifully. A wonderful place to stay while enjoying Lake Tahoe’s beauty.

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to be honest about my experience. Unfortunately, this property was a major disappointment. It’s in very poor condition, and the photos online do not accurately reflect its current state.|Some of the issues we encountered included: filthy, worn-out carpet; rough, uncomfortable sheets; a bathroom that desperately needs recaulking/updating; extremely poor-quality pillows; lots of traffic noise and a repulsive overall smell. In addition, there is a dangerous unmarked step down at the door threshold. ||Additionally, we were under the impression that breakfast was included, but that was not the case.
