Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Milwaukee Airport

Wow! Entering the hotel smell like urine. Bathroom dirty ( bathtub has no bath mate and remainder of glue from last mat is evident because looks dirty plus dirt in tub.) Have pictures of dirty and empty soap dispensors. Sink full of hair not our own, hubby bald and I have glued down short wavy hairstyle. Toliet not scoured hubby lift up seat to dirt. Lamp shades dusty, dirty, busted couch in rooms old and worn will leave debri on your clothing. Walls scuffed need patch paint. Have stayed here on several previous occasions wasn't this bad. Will be our last stay at this hotel. Went for breakfast and beautiful young woman was gloveless as she handle eating utensils I did watch her wash hands yet she touched serving utensils to stir eggs. She did not attempt to clean/eggs on counter just left

Positive: Close to the airport Negative: Mattresses are worn down, and uncomfortable. The main room door barely stayed closed. We had to dead bolt and use the security bar to keep it closed. At night the whole floor smelled of nasty skunk weed. Draft of cold air from all 3 windows.

Over the past few years, I've been staying here on nights before an early morning flight. The rooms have been comfortable and clean. Lately, however, it has been showing lack of improvements and upkeep. Plus the place smelled of pot and stale cigarette smoke. Hopefully some updating will be done soon.

I booked through Priceline and the website states there is airplane shuttle service. That is a lie!! I ending up staying elsewhere that offered shuttle service. Priceline called the hotel to cancel and Michael said they don’t have shuttle service and he did not have the authority to cancel. They would have to call back the next day. The general manager Lee refused to authorize a refund. Because he says they offer a third party paid shuttle. That was not an option that was given to me last night by Michael. He said they don’t have shuttle service.

The location was convenient, the hotel was clean and spacious, amenities were good. The hotel needs a little update on the look. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, paint chipping, the bathtub had a draining, but was fixed. Overall, for a short stay, it was worth the price that I paid for. I would book this hotel again.
