Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Dayton

Didn't pay for the room but the person who did was charged for stuff that was broken that wasn't broken when we left then was added another fee for repairs a few days later scammers taking all the deposit money most of the rooms I saw were a mess or were in the middle of being repaired we were shown four different rooms that were horrible before they found us one that looked decent The one bed stink so bad that we ended up leaving in the middle of the night didn't even stay the whole time and then still got screwed over in the end. Do not recommend at all

Generally I think of Hawthorn Suites being a bit higher quality. Not so much at this location. It started at the entrance to the lobby where there were cigarette burns on the window sill where people have apparently been sitting out front then putting their cigarettes out in places other than ash trays.|The room was less than appealing: the doorway was deteriorating, the coffee table looks like it was chewed on by a dog, the lamp shades were broken, and dents in the walls.|They advertise a "breakfast buffet", but it was the typical hotel waffles, sausage, eggs, cereal, and fruit. Not really what I would call a buffet. It was sufficient to start my morning, but, like everything else, not really matching expectations.|On the plus side, the location is convenient and the towels were really so

Positive: I like best about the room was the , stove, it wasn't clean I cleaned it myself. Negative: I didn't like that there were roaches, and I informed the lady at front desk that, this made me very uncomfortable, I was also accused of smoking, I'm 68 years never smoked, they wanted to keep my deposit, for the smoking and a Barbecue stain on a towel.

The check in lady (Lisa) was amazing! The room I have to say is bigger than expected. IF YOU STAY HERE LOCK YOUR DOOR PUT A CHAIR IN FRONT AND BRING A PIT BULL! THE FRIENDS OR WORKERS USE MASTER KEYS TO OPEN WHATEVER DOOR THEY WANT! Lucky for them they got a door slammed in their face before my pit bull got them! Just don't stay here in the winter they don't clear the walkways, nor parking lot. Another customer bought salt and a shovel to dig both us out, we're both in back buildings. The room next to mine (in the same building) had a water line break, shutting off water for several hours in my building, (which I understand) what I don't get is the 5 yes 5 other unannounced times they shut the water off! This is a pit, hands down the worst place I’ve ever stayed. If I could leave a review with 0 stars I would!!! I’m a senior and travel cross country all the time on a budget. I always look for Wyndhams because they represent affordable, safe and clean - this place was disgusting. (See the photos below) I had driven through severe thunderstorms and tornadoes, it was late and I was exhausted. Hoped on Hotels.com and booked this place, it was pet friendly. The room I was given was so bad I would not bring my luggage inside. I ended up sleeping for 4 1/2 hours fully clothed on top of the bed with my shoes on - it was that bad! Holes in the walls, paint peeled off, sink has a backup from either dishwasher or disposal, floor was gritty, base boards chewed up, door rusted and more. I felt unsafe a
