Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Columbia / Ft. Jackson

If I could rate our check-in experience and room conditions '0 stars', I most certainly would. We reserved 2 rooms over a week ago (1 suite & 1 double queen room) for two nights. We took the elevator to locate our rooms on the 2nd floor only to end up walking through doors that led to a walkway with motel styled rooms (rooms that open to the outside, not inside with a hallway like a hotel). When we tried to re-enter the doors to come back inside the building to access the elevator, the card reader did not work. There was a hand written note on the door that said to use the stairs. The stairs led us to the outside of the building. We had to walk around the building in order to gain access to the front of the building to enter the lobby. I arrived and checked in. I got to my room and it was your typical basic hotel room. I went to shower but there was no curtain or glass with a ramp. I realized this is likely a handicap accessible room which was fine. However… it was freezing when I showered as there was nothing to keep the heat in. Also, because there was nothing curtain or glass, water was ALL OVER the bathroom floor despite my attempt to stay close to the wall and not move much. I used the towels provided to clean it up, but then I was thinking to myself, how would someone who was handicapped do this? This is a huge fall risk and dangerous. I called the front desk to let them know about the situation and also, the rubber part at the bottom of the wall/shower was coming off and moldy. She “upgraded” me to a suite in the

Very clean.. I didn't know that they supply dishes and pots and pans which was great. My over all stay was amazing. The only problem I had was the tv doesn't connect to the wifi so there was little to no tv watching since I had planned to connect my fire stick to the tv. I've never had any problems with other hotels

We rented 3 suites.. rooms 201 , 315 and 301.|We started with one of the suites as 115 but quickly asked for a different room due to the busted cabinet handles, mold on the bathroom tub, tears in the carpet, stains on the floor , party confetti under the couch cushions , soiled cushions and the list goes on.|It was a disgrace to the Wyndham chain of hotels. After moving from 115 to 315 , almost the exact same experience minus the busted handles and mold but we gained a non working stove and a faucet that was broken on the sink. |I could go in to detail on each room and how awful it was but I will save you the time. Don’t rent from these boneheads . Customer service doesn’t care and neither does the mngr.. there were no other rooms to switch too as it was booked to capacity. There were a lo

During my stay, the hotel staff have been nothing but amazing to my family and I as I just moved here. Danyell, the manager is the sweetest. She’s patient and always helped me whenever I needed. The staff also checked on my kids, making sure we had fresh sheets and towels everyday. The energy here is welcoming. It’s also very close to everything that I needed. I would stay here again for sure🩷
