Harrison Hall Hotel

Loved it here! Old-fashioned charm & character. I loved my oceanfront corner room with four windows that opened and had screens... slept to the sound of the waves each night and enjoyed the sunrise every morning. The front porch with rocking chairs was a great place to have coffee in the morning- so I didn't even miss not having a coffee maker in my room. The bathroom was a bit small and dated but certainly sufficient for my needs. The staff were so friendly, always with a smile and hello. All the public areas were constantly being cleaned during my stay- they really put a lot of effort into ensuring it's kept fresh & clean and that did not go not unnoticed. September 2025|This is a historic hotel that I’ve been curious about and have wanted to stay at for years. I believe it was built in 1954 and it shows a bit. The front desk personnel are friendly and check in was quick (I checked in on a Tuesday after 5:00 pm in early September, so there was no one else waiting to check in). I had booked a “basic” economy/small room - the least expensive room they have. So I wasn’t expecting much. The room was indeed small (and the bathroom had a small shower stall) but I expected this. What I didn’t expect was the pervasive mildew (?) smell throughout my 3 night stay, which I reported twice (once to the front desk and once to housekeeping). I think housekeeping DID try to address it, but the smell persisted. I attempted to open the window to air the room

Positive: The staff was truly amazing. Hotel employee helped with our luggage and was friendly as can be. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and polite as well. Knowing that it was a 2 star hotel, we weren?t expecting much, but we were delightfully surprised. Negative: The hotel dates back to 1951 so it?s a little dated, but it gave it charm. The wife and I were very happy and there was nothing we didn?t like about it.

We stayed at this spot from 9/12-9/15. The location was perfect. Walking distance for everything that we wanted to do. The essential hop to the beach was perfect. The porch is a beautiful spot to spend the evening watching the ocean with a couple of drinks. We had the king size ocean front room (not corner), and it was smaller, but the perfect size for 2 people. I will say that the bathroom is barely suitable for 1 person. You can't take a shower without touching each wall. The bed was very well used, so it was super squishy and offered no support. The cleanliness of the room was iffy, but it wasn't horrible. Staff at check in, during the stay and check out were very nice. I would definitely stay again.

Harrison Hall is beautiful on the outside and right on the boardwalk. The front porch and lobby are lovely. The rooms themselves are small and need an update. We stayed for 4 nights, paying premium rates because of Ocean’s Calling. During that time, our room was cleaned once, on Saturday. When we came back to the room, a pricey hair product had disappeared from the dresser. The hotel staff made a note about it but NOTHING to resolve the situation or make it right.
