Hampton Inn Vidalia

This place is clean. When I say clean, I mean clean. Walls are a little thin but I will take that when I can feel comfortable in the cleanliness of the room. Did I mention, the room was CLEAN!!! The morning staff was top notch. Friendly and helpful. The person on the night staff could have been a little friendlier but all in all, thank gosh we found this place!!!! Don’t think twice, book this hotel!

Tue front desk folks were great; however, The cleanliness was far less than you should expect. Someone had raised the toilet seat and urinated everywhere. We didn’t notice this until we were moved into the room. The bed was clean and comfortable but we not only did not walk on the floors without shoes, we bagged our slippers to wash once home. There was very dirty grout and a noisy air conditioner. Our king bed room had the obligatory cabinet (TV, desk, drawers) with a chair; however, the remaining floor space (normally filled with a chair and lamp) were empty. We were told all their king bed rooms are like this.

Positive: good breakfast and breakfast area Negative: Everything Else. This hotel had no pool or hot tub. There was no TP, nor even a place to have TP. Seriously. The phone was non-working.

This location in the past was a very well kept hotel. I have stayed there for work many times. Currently it is rundown and very shady. When I checked in, I was told I would be escorted to my room due to them not having anymore room keys. After questioning this, a room key was magically found. After waking up with my door unlocked(both dead bolt and door latch), I checked out and move to the HIE down the road for half the price. I will never stay there again. They are taking advantage of the Plant Hatch Outage. The rate for one night after taxes and fee was $351.

I stayed for a total of 4 days. I checked in on Monday, there was pubic hair on the toilet, as well as a ring around the toilet bowl. The bathroom counters were dirty as well. When I turned the shower on and let it run to warm up, the water was brown! Friday morning I went down to get a bite of breakfast before checking out. There wasn't any waffle mix, the griddle wasn't even on. And there wasn't any milk for the cereal. Im very disappointed with my stay here, when I stay at a Hampton hotel, I expect a step above other chains. I wont be staying at this location again.
