Hampton Inn & Suites South Lake Tahoe

We had a very frustrating experience here. Due to a heavy snowstorm and road closures that were completely beyond our control, we arrived one day late. The hotel canceled our entire reservation without notice, still charged us the full amount (about $1300), and offered no refund. We were then forced to book and pay for a new reservation.||The policy feels extremely rigid and unreasonable given the circumstances.||As for the room itself, it was spacious but extremely basic. There were no basic utensils like a spoon or fork, no real cups, and the AC unit was annoyingly loud, making it hard to rest.||Overall, poor customer service and an inflexible cancellation policy overshadow what could have been an acceptable stay.

The hubby and I had a nice stay. Hotel staff we're friendly, fast check in. The room was nice and comfortable, clean. Bathroom with spacious big shower. Loved the warm pool and the hot tub. They have an exercise room that we didn't utilize, looked nice though. We had a fridge and microwave and lots of coffee and hot chocolate anytime we wanted downstairs. Maybe the bed was just a little too firm, but other than that we had a wonderful stay and would stay here again in the future.

This hotel is awesome. Fairly inexpensive cost is right there with everybody else. It's never overcrowded. Staff is friendly. Nobody bothers you. You rarely see anybody unless you go downstairs. There's a spa that was running even with during the snow. It's a great place Central to everything you want to do in Tahoe

Convenient location near Heavenly Resort and comfy rooms. Only stayed one night. I did not receive my Diamond Member benefit upon check-in for the free water/snack and had to ask for it after realizing that it also was not in the room like my stays at other Hilton locations. The Burger Me QR code in the lobby and room says "Pick up at lobby", but when I went down there after getting a text it was ready, my order was not at the front desk, and I was told to check at the restaurant. Misleading information as I could've have just gone to the restaurant in the first place. They may want to coordinate better with the restaurant about hotel guests and pick-up. $15 parking per night. Minus 1 star due to the experience about the restaurant they promote and also that parking is not included.

It was excellent for Families! Very clean, very close to all the amenities, Heavenly Ski Resprt main entrance and also the back (CA entrance) .. walking distance to Target and other attractions (which is a plus!)We enjoyed the warm swimming pool after snowboarding and it was awesome! Strongly recommend this place. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.
